On March 24, 2011, after several meetings with the representatives of the tribal council and consultations with concerned government agencies such as the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP), and Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) a Validation Day was held at the IP Community.
The purpose of the activity was to obtain a community census and to validate their approval and willingness to collaborate with EGIP Foundation in order to meet their community goals.
Upon the approval of the whole community, the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)followed in order to legalize the agreement.
