Joshua L. Donato

Senior Field Biologist, Project Manager

A conservationist, environmental advocate and a nature-lover protagonist. He is currently the Senior Field Biologist/Project Manager of Euro Generics International Philippines (EGIP) Foundation and a part-time faculty of Davao Medical School Foundation Inc. (DMSFI) in Davao City.

He earned his degree in Biology from Davao Oriental State College of Science and Technology in Mati City, Davao Oriental now known as Davao Oriental State University (DORSU). His graduate degree in Environmental and Resource Management was earned from University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP) in Davao City. Currently, he is pursuing his PhD in Forestry and Conservation in University of Montana in Missoula, Montana, USA and PhD in Environmental Science in Davao Oriental State University (DORSU).

His research interests include environmental and indigenous laws, wildlife studies, forest and conservation, indigenous knowledge and beliefs, ethnolinguistics and cultures, eco-cultural tourism management, protected area management, forestry, and land-use planning which he also published several journals and research studies. He also now an active birdwatcher, wildlife photographer, mountain climber and tour organizer.
