Last November 2, 2022, the Department of Education (DepEd) push through with mandatory face-to-face classes in public schools as Vice President and DepEd Secretary Sara Z. Duterte issued the amendatory department order to supplement the initial department order with regard to the mandatory in-person classes.
In this regard, the EGIP Foundation Inc. and the Pinagkaiisang Anak ng Tribung Obu-Manuvu (PATOM)- a newly established Obu-Manuvu youth group distributed a poster entitled” Preventing Covid-19: School Year 2022-2023″ in elementary and high school schools located within the Obu-Manuvu territory in Davao City and Arakan in North Cotabato. The poster is translated into the Obu-Manuvu dialect, Visayan and English.
This poster is one of the outputs of the training and several workshops conducted by EGIPF supported by IDEM e.V. (IDEM – Institute for Democracy, Media and Cultural Exchange)- an independent non-profit research and policy organization based in Germany.
The goal is to inform students of the simple and basic ways how to prevent COVID-19 while in school or during their face-to-face classes.
